Family Fun Day at CHP RSL!
Getting together for some family fun on Australia Day.
Last week, members and guests gathered at CHP RSL to take part in our Family Fun Day activities which included a Kindifarm Petting Zoo featuring adorable baby chicks, guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks, goats, chickens and even a rooster.
It wasn’t just the little ones having fun at the Kindifarm, members and guests of all ages were able to get up close and cuddly with the friendly baby animals, where many were able to partake in bottle feeding the baby goats.
The Kindifarm experience took an unexpected turn when one adventurous baby goat decided to explore beyond its enclosure, attempting a daring escape. Fortunately, the quick-thinking staff ensured the mischievous goat was safely returned to the fold, creating a moment of hilarity and surprise that added an extra layer of fun to the event.
So Fresh Duo provided the rhythmic backdrop with live music in Café Brass, their lively beats and harmonious melodies added an extra dimension to the day, making it a hit for all who joined in the festivities.
Of course, what is an event without delicious food?! Alongside our $1000 meat raffle, we served up some delicious Australian lamb specials including a herb crusted lamb rack, an Aussie lamb roll and a favourite from the day – a slow roasted lamb shoulder with potato and vegetables.
For the sweet tooth’s amongst us, we also offered delicious jam-filled lamington fingers as a treat with every coffee order.
The venue was transformed into a sea of our national colours, green and gold, along with iconic Australian gum trees. Yellow wild flowers and eucalyptus leaves adorned tables in The Park and Café Brass which provided a distinct Australiana feel to the event.
